PUBLIC INVITED

West Ohio Community Action Partnership is excited to announce the Grand Opening of our new West Ohio CAP Early Learning Center. The West Ohio CAP Early Learning Center houses two Early Head Start classrooms serving children birth to 3 years and four Head Start classrooms serving children 3 to 5 years.

WOCAP received funding to build a facility in the south end of Lima that will serve income eligible families in Allen County. Our plan is to increase the number of days and hours of operation for children and families. All Early Head Start classrooms will be in session for 12 months per year and the Head Start classrooms will be in session following a regular school calendar. All classrooms will begin operations at the new facility in August 2022.

The new facility was designed to allow West Ohio CAP to serve the entire family in one location (Head Start, Early Head Start, & Child Care), furthering West Ohio CAP’s mission to strengthen and maintain involvement with Head Start/Early Head Start parents after they complete from the Head Start program.

Head Start & Early Head Start is a federally-funded program that is free to income eligible families and provides comprehensive preschool education to children and parents. The children also receive numerous developmental screenings to ensure physical, dental, nutritional, social/emotional, and intellectual growth for children birth – 5 years old.
