Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) Processing Applications Year Round

est Ohio CAP continues to process enrollment and re-verification applications for the PIPP Plus Program. PIPP Plus helps you manage your energy bills by making monthly utility payments more affordable, allowing you to make consistent monthly payments based on a percentage of your household income.

Households that have utility service from an electric or natural gas company regulated by the Public Utility Commission of Ohio, with income at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines are eligible for this program. Homeowners and renters alike, are eligible for this assistance!

For households with more than eight members, add $8,260 to the yearly income or $678.90 to the 30-day income for each individual.

Required Documentation:

  • Current electric and gas bill regardless of account status.
  • Social Security numbers for all household members.
  • Income documentation for all household members 18+ for the last 30 days.
  • Documentation of Citizenship for all household members (Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Passport)
  • Proof of liability (in applicable).
